Animated illustration: four company devices running the ActiSignal Agent send activity signals to a central ActiSignal dashboard, which turns them into a clear picture of fleet status. One device changes state from offline to online.

Why ActiSignal

Scattered information about activity and devices costs time.

In many organizations the picture of how teams work, how computers are doing and whether Agents are running has to be pieced together from several sources. ActiSignal brings those signals into one dashboard — without collecting more than necessary.

Without ActiSignal

No current view of which devices are available and which have not sent a signal for a long time.

With ActiSignal

Online/offline status of every device and the time of the last signal in a single view.

Without ActiSignal

Agent problems are only discovered when someone notices missing data.

With ActiSignal

Agent health with devices that need attention clearly flagged.

Without ActiSignal

Information about time at the computer is spread across system logs and notes.

With ActiSignal

Structured session summaries split into active and idle time.

Without ActiSignal

Limited understanding of which application categories teams rely on.

With ActiSignal

Application usage trends at team and device level.

Without ActiSignal

Troubleshooting means checking every workstation by hand.

With ActiSignal

Activity history and reports cut diagnosis down to minutes.

How it works

From Agent installation to a report in four steps.

Deployment requires no changes to workstation infrastructure. The ActiSignal Agent sends activity metadata to the organization's dashboard.

  1. 01

    Install the ActiSignal Agent

A lightweight Agent is installed on company Windows computers — manually or through standard software distribution tools.

  2. 02

    Assign devices to the organization

Each device is assigned to the organization and optionally to a team or location. The dashboard shows its status right away.

  3. 03

    Review activity signals

Administrators and team leads see availability, sessions, application usage and Agent health in one consistent interface.

  4. 04

    Analyze trends and generate reports

Activity history and periodic reports support planning, resource accounting and troubleshooting.

Use cases

For organizations that want to understand how teams work and how devices are doing — without surveillance.

ActiSignal supports IT, operations and management. It provides operational context, not a tool for covert oversight.

Remote and hybrid work

Challenge
It is hard to tell whether devices outside the office are working properly and when they are actually in use.
How ActiSignal helps
Status, sessions and Agent health are reported regardless of location — within clearly communicated organizational policies.

Device fleet visibility

Challenge
There is no single place that shows every company computer.
How ActiSignal helps
A central device registry with availability, operating system and the time of the last signal.

Time at the computer

Challenge
Session and active-time information is scattered and hard to consolidate.
How ActiSignal helps
Structured session summaries split into active and idle time — at device and team level.

Application usage

Challenge
Licensing decisions are made without data on actual use.
How ActiSignal helps
Usage trends by application category help plan standards and optimize licenses.

IT troubleshooting

Challenge
Working out when and on which device a problem occurred takes hours.
How ActiSignal helps
Activity and Agent event history quickly narrows down the source of a problem.

Agent health and operational auditing

Challenge
It is unclear whether every Agent is running and reporting correctly.
How ActiSignal helps
An overview of Agent connectivity, versions and warnings, plus a change history, makes operational audits easier.

Security and privacy

Transparent towards the organization and the people using its devices.

ActiSignal is designed around privacy by design. The scope of collected information is limited to the activity metadata needed for operational purposes.

Metadata, not content

Status, session time, application categories and Agent health — never the content of documents, messages or typed input.

Transparent rollout

The product is designed for open use in the organization, with the people using the devices informed about the scope of processing.

Configurable monitoring policies

Scope, idle thresholds and reporting hours are set by the organization — centrally and consistently for every device.

Access control

Access to the dashboard and data is granted according to administrative roles defined in the organization.

Retention and tenant isolation

The organization configures how long history is kept, and each organization's data is processed in a separated environment.

Responsible processing

The scope and purpose of processing should follow from the organization's own policies. ActiSignal provides tools; it does not replace legal assessment.

What ActiSignal does not collect

The product scope deliberately excludes private content and recordings.

  • Keystroke contents
  • Screenshots and screen recordings
  • Microphone recordings
  • Camera recordings
  • Clipboard contents
  • Message and email contents

Using ActiSignal does not by itself make an organization GDPR-compliant. The organization remains the data controller and is responsible for the legal basis, informing employees and the scope of monitoring.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions that come up before a rollout.

The full, categorized list of questions is available on the FAQ page.

  • ActiSignal is B2B software for employee activity and company Windows device monitoring. It collects activity signals — online/offline status, work sessions, active and idle time, categories of applications in use and Agent health — and presents them in one dashboard. It does not capture private content: no screenshots, no keystrokes, no messages.

  • ActiSignal focuses on activity metadata: the device's online/offline status, work session start and end, the split between active and idle time, categories of applications in use and Agent health (version, last synchronization). It is not intended to record content — keystrokes, screenshots, recordings or messages.

  • No. ActiSignal does not take screenshots or screen recordings, and it does not capture camera video or microphone audio. Activity information is based on system signals and application categories, not on a view of what is on the screen.

  • The Agent detects whether the device is in use from system signals and splits each work session into active and idle periods according to the idle threshold set in the organization's monitoring policy. In parallel it records the categories of applications being launched. The dashboard aggregates these signals at device, team and organization level and presents them in views and periodic reports.

  • ActiSignal is designed around privacy by design: it collects activity metadata instead of content, aggregates data at category and team level, lets the organization configure the monitoring scope and retention, restricts data access by role, and processes each organization's data in a separated environment. The product is intended for open, communicated use.

  • The official price list is being prepared. The Starter, Business and Enterprise plans differ in feature scope and the number of supported devices. Until the price list is published we offer individual quotes.
