Features
Six areas of insight into team activity and company device health.
Each ActiSignal feature answers a specific need of an IT, operations or management team. All of them rely on activity metadata sent by the lightweight ActiSignal Agent — with no access to private content.
01Device availability
Device online and offline status
Current availability of every computer in the organization together with the time of the last signal. Disconnected workstations are visible immediately, and the connection history shows when a device stopped sending signals and when it reported back.
What it includes
- Device list with online, idle and offline status
- Time of the last signal and connection history
- Filtering by team, location and operating system

02Work sessions
Work sessions on devices
A structured course of each session — start, end and breaks — presented on a shared timeline. It helps to understand when company computers are actually in use and how work is distributed through the day, at device and team level.
What it includes
- Session timeline split into active and idle periods
- Session start and end, with ongoing sessions marked
- Daily and weekly summaries per team
- WORKSTATION-01ongoing
- OFFICE-PC-02ongoing
- LAPTOP-03ongoing
- DESIGN-PC-04ongoing
03Activity
Active and idle time
Sessions are split into periods of activity and inactivity based on system signals about device use. The information concerns the fact that the computer is in use, not the content of work — ActiSignal does not record input or screen contents.
What it includes
- Share of active and idle time within a session
- Activity distribution across weekdays
- Idle threshold configured in the monitoring policy
04Applications
Application usage
Application categories and their usage trends over time, aggregated at team and organization level. They support licensing decisions and software standardization without tracking individual documents or content.
What it includes
- Share of application categories in active time
- Weekly trend and change against the previous period
- Aggregation at team and organization level
- Office31%+2 pp
- Communication22%+4 pp
- Browsers19%-3 pp
- Other categories28%
05Agents
ActiSignal Agent health
Heartbeat, version and time of last synchronization for every Agent. Devices with an outdated version or no signal for more than a day are clearly marked, so installation or network problems are easy to locate.
What it includes
- Agent version and last synchronization for every device
- Warnings: outdated version, no synchronization
- Organization-wide summary of Agent health

06Policies and reports
Monitoring policies and reports
Monitoring policies defined at organization level — reporting hours, idle threshold, history retention period — and periodic reports ready to share. Each organization's data is processed in a separated environment.
What it includes
- Policies applied consistently to all devices in the organization
- Periodic reports: availability, sessions, applications, Agent health
- Administrative roles and multi-organization administration
- Idle threshold5 min
- History retention period90 days
- Weekly reportMonday, 07:00
